Mediterranean place located on eastern coastline of Istrian peninsula is well-known on its white pebble beaches.



Kvarner Bay spreads out between the Istrian coast and northern Dalmatia. This is the region that due to its heterogeneity of climate and vegetation, it's combination of shores, islands and highlands, has the longest tourist tradition in Croatia.
If you are looking for luxury vacation, you'll find it in one of the good equipted old Austrian villas in Lovran, charming little town named after laurel, aromatic plant from the local gardens with characteristical odor. Just a few chilometers further, one comes to Opatija, an exclusive holiday resort, conference destination and the centre of the riviera adorned with exclusive villas, casinos and luxurious hotels. Opatija is well known on it's parks with about 160 plant species. Among the numerous interesting plants is the Japanese camelia which, in time, has become the symbol of Opatija.

Passing Rijeka, port and the industrial centre of the region, one comes to Crikvenica one of the oldest mediterranean summer resort, which will delight you with it's beautiful long beach along the seaside. Don't miss the summer carnival in Novi Vinodolski, summer resort in the central part of the northern croatian coast.

Along the coast are spreading the islands, all connected to the shore by car-ferries. The biggist island Krk is the only one connected to the shore over the bridge. Losinj is popular place for nautical tourism enthusiasts, while islands Cres and Rab, are ideal destination for peaceful family holiday.
In this region is located the most famous national park in Croatia, Plitvice lakes. Followed by the relaxing melody of the water, plunge into the pure nature. Must visit!
